Deploy the Apache-2.0 Docker stack with PostgreSQL, independent testnet/pubnet RPC endpoints, and funded relayer accounts.PAYMENT_RELAYER_SECRETS accepts a comma-separated signer pool to avoid a single source-account sequence bottleneck. Keep automation and payment identities separate.
Testnet remains unauthenticated and free within the configurable rate limit. Mainnet caller keys are optional through X402_MAINNET_API_KEYS; an empty value disables caller authentication. X402_MAINNET_PLATFORM_FEE_BPS documents operator pricing and defaults to zero—no fee is hard-wired into settlement. Operators remain responsible for implementing fee collection transparently outside the non-custodial transfer contract.
Probe /health/live, /health/ready, and /supported. Alert on rejection rate by reason, RPC/simulation/settlement latency, indeterminate transactions, signer balances and sequence contention, catalog rejection rate, database saturation, search p95, and zero-result rate. If RPC settlement is degraded, continue read-only discovery but reject new settlement with a non-null reason; never guess whether an indeterminate payment settled.
Run pnpm license:check, the full test/build suite, and pnpm conformance:check -- https://your-host for every release. Mainnet production requires an independent Audit Bank review and resolved findings.
